X server in dom0 (was: ... Bad VBT signature)




Has there been any progress, further thoughts, or sudden insights about this? I was hoping to run Xen on 6.0, but reading through the thread it doesn't seem likely.

In fact, that really should not be allowed at all at securelevel > 0.

Here's a somewhat uninformed idea: Could there be a separate way of addressing what X needs to see, call it /dev/devicemem say, that avoids having to mix the two address spaces under the same device?
