Indeed.  I disabled STP and rebooted two domU's (includinn winxp) and
no packets were lost any more.  I don't think I need STP, so this is an
acceptable workaround for me.

I was going to use additional Ethernet ports and multiple bridges to
get rid of the packet loss, but it turned out that the two ports I have
did not work (my posts to tech-kern).
