   The previously installed 2.7.2bin11 worked very well. There is no
   gcc2.7.2bin12
   available in the netbsd/contrib -archive. 

There won't ever be; there is no need to. gcc/g++ 2.7.2 are integrated
in netbsd-1.2/netbsd-1.2.1.
