You may wish to read the pkgsrc guide:

  https://www.netbsd.org/docs/pkgsrc/

which is somewhat lengthy, but starting will give you enough orientation
to look up other things later.

Also:

# pkg_admin check
# pkg_info dbus

You can look in /etc/passwd and /etc/master.passwd to see what accounts
are installed.  Many packages install a user/group to run unpriv, and
the mechanism for this has been stable for a very long time.
