Sorry, forgot to say in the former email that all my flash drives are very small in size, not enough for the tests.
Next time (pardon the pun), use `time fsck.ext2 ` so you know how long it took.
Yes! I’m doing it now with "time", because when I ran several cp commands in parallel,
the system suddenly rebooted and left some files in /var/crash ! I will fill a bug report.

This seems to be an endless nightmare: two different operating systems
“touching” the same filesystem with different ext2 implementations and
possible bugs. Probably not a great idea (I’m the culprit here)....
That's why you need another disk. Format it as ext2 under NetBSD - run your tests.
Compare this to your current one, where Linux installed the filesystem and it fails.
I will try to use an old USB hard drive that I had stored away in a drawer.
