So on my NetBSD 10.1 machine with pkgsrc-current, I get:
autoreconf: configure.ac: not running autopoint a second time
autoreconf: running: aclocal --force -I config -I m4
autoreconf: error: aclocal failed with exit status: 1

On NetBSD 11 with 2026Q2, I get:
autoreconf: running: /usr/pkg/bin/autoconf --force
and it successfully builds.

It turns out this is down to autoconf 2.72 (works) vs 2.73 (does not).

Yes, I was going to upgrade kBuild once I had it building...
