May be bit off-topic, but did you tried Parallels for Virtualization on Mac 
yet and compared? If you need it for daily work, this might be an 
alternative. To me it seems (currently) smoother integrated / optimized to/
with the Mac host platform.

Parallels is commercial and does not support NetBSD officially, but works 
with selected type "FreeBSD". They should offer some trial version.
