Like I said before, according to the CHANGES file:
http://www.netbsd.org/changes/changes-7.0.html#iwn%284%29
support for Centrino Wireless-N 1030 was added last year, so in my
opinion you should submit a bug report.

One more thing, the driver for the N1030 is in :
  /libdata/firmware/if_iwn/README.iwlwifi-6000g2a-ucode

According to Intel:
http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-034398.htm

all these models use the same driver:
Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6230,
Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1030,
Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 130,
Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235

I wanted to try a few things when I got back to my computer this morning. I explicitly installed iwn-firmware-4.44.1.20 and rebooted.
No change. I don't know what else I can try. So...

Bug report submitted. kern/48891

Thanks for your help.
