Hi Jimmie,
I understand your feellings. I'm a developer but I have problems too
with wifi card on my laptop.
Builtin card isn't recognized by NetBSD-current, I use a tiny EDIMAX
card (it's listed on urtwn(4) manual page). It's not stable and may
crash your system when you replug it or it may stop working.
You will need wpa_supplicant(8) daemon to configure it. Switching
between access points works but I suspect that a card may stop working
when wpa_supplicant reconfigures it to connect to a new ssid.
PS If all stars align, I will look at these issues in near future.
