Hi,
I noted that it was hard to get "pkgin ug" to work sane. It stalled, didn't
find packages etc.
IPv4 towards ftp.netbsd.org works fine:
-bash-4.2$ ping ftp.netbsd.org
PING ftp.netbsd.org (199.233.217.249): 52 data bytes
64 bytes from 199.233.217.249: icmp_seq=0 ttl=247 time=235.002 ms
64 bytes from 199.233.217.249: icmp_seq=1 ttl=247 time=223.555 ms
64 bytes from 199.233.217.249: icmp_seq=2 ttl=247 time=236.602 ms
^C
But IPv6 towards ftp.netbsd.org didn't work very well:
----ftp.netbsd.org PING Statistics----
3 packets transmitted, 3 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 223.555/231.720/236.602/7.116 ms
-bash-4.2$ ping6 ftp.netbsd.org
PING6(56=40+8+8 bytes) 2001:948:4:6::32 --> 2001:470:1f05:3d::21
16 bytes from 2001:470:1f05:3d::21, icmp_seq=2 hlim=54 time=286.160 ms
16 bytes from 2001:470:1f05:3d::21, icmp_seq=5 hlim=54 time=283.813 ms
16 bytes from 2001:470:1f05:3d::21, icmp_seq=7 hlim=54 time=283.799 ms
16 bytes from 2001:470:1f05:3d::21, icmp_seq=14 hlim=54 time=283.344 ms
16 bytes from 2001:470:1f05:3d::21, icmp_seq=17 hlim=54 time=281.127 ms
16 bytes from 2001:470:1f05:3d::21, icmp_seq=20 hlim=54 time=284.486 ms
16 bytes from 2001:470:1f05:3d::21, icmp_seq=27 hlim=54 time=281.760 ms
So it seems to be because of problems with the IPv6 connectivity somewhere on
the way towards ftp.NetBSD.org:

Looks like ftp.NetBSD.org is using Hurricane Electrics tunnel services for IPv6.
Maybe someone can kill it until HE fixes their IPv6 problems?
