It takes very long time to load the page (10+ seconds). Check that dns works. You should be able to 'dig -x a.b.c.d' on the apache host, using the address of the request host, and it should be very fast, less than 100ms the first time, more or less, and even faster on subsequent times. Then, if that's ok, run tcpdump and watch the connetion. Use -s1500 -X.
