Re: snmpd: sysctl vm.bufmem failed (errno 12)

i.e what limits?

dns2# vmstat
procs memory page disk faults cpu
r b avm fre flt re pi po fr sr x0 in sy cs us sy id
0 0 82404 897708 6 0 0 0 0 0 0 739 7611 1121 0 0 99

It's a clean DomU 6.0 install with only bind 9.9.2 from packages (using pkgin) and net-snmp running so it can be monitored by cacti. It would be funny if it hit any limits. The DomU has 2 CPUs and 1GB RAM. It gets less than 100Kb/s of dns traffic on xennet0. Pretty much doesn't do anything at tall.

Shouldn't a default install be more or less usable?

errno 12 means "Cannot allocate memory". Maybe you are hitting some limits?
