As for me, rc.conf variable would be a better solution.
In western Europe and US ipv6 is a reality but in Belarus ipv6 just
doesn't work.
ipv6 through ipv4 tunneling is not for the masses.

And what kind of caching DNS you mean? I could not find this
functionality in dnsmasq.
