If you are using RAID-1, I think you can, without raid0a mounted, do a
cmp of the underlying devices.  Or you can create shadow partitions for
the fs on the underlying devices and mount them ro and do a diff -ur.

I went through some of this when I had files go wrong in a RAID-1, where
one disk was different than the other.  My problem turned out to be bad
RAM.
