This was fixed in VirtualBox a long time ago. Maybe they did not actually
fix it for some of their feature combinations which they set per-CPU.
What is the exact host CPU, and does it support VT-x/AMD-V?
VirtualBox 3.2.g works great for me with NetBSD-5 on an Intel Core 2 Duo
system with OS/X host OS and the NetBSD VM configured like this:
Operating System: BSD
Version: NetBSD
Processors: 2
VT-X/AMD-V: Enabled
Nested Paging: Disabled
Enable I/O APIC: yes
Enable PAE/NX: yes
This is with the i386 port of NetBSD but I have tested the amd64 port in
the past and it worked, too.
