The automatic builds of the "netbsd-5" branch on the NetBSD build servers
work without problems. Please have a look here:

So it is probably related to your setup or the build options you use.

So could you please provide more information?
1.) How did you obtain the sources?
2.) Under what platform are you building?
3.) How do you invoke "build.sh"?
4.) What options have you set in your enviroment or in "/etc/mk.conf"?
