Well, it arrived today. The dmesg for NetBSD 5.0_RC3 is attached. :-)

ACPI, wired network, sound and webcam seem to work properly. But the
wireless card isn't recognized:

vendor 0x14e4 product 0x4315 (miscellaneous network, revision 0x01) at pci2
dev 0 function 0 not configured

Unfortunately I don't know what kind of card it is. Any idea whether this
should be supported by any of our existing drivers?

I'm also having trouble getting X configured. With no (or a generated)
xorg.conf, I get "(EE) VESA(0): No matching modes", and X dies with "(EE)
Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration".
If I manually specify the mode (1280x800) and the "vga" driver, X will
start without complaining, but the screen just goes black. Ctrl-Alt-
Backspace works to bring me back to the console.

Any idea?

        Geert
