many years ago.  In use it Just Works and takes no maintenance
outside of updates to the data.

What might you not like? There is some overhead in setting it
up if you've not used djb's daemontools software before, some
people don't like the code layout, it doesn't provide hooks
for DHCP/dynamic DNS, and it won't share a single IP address
for both a caching and content server; they need their own IP
addresses.

In use, you probably need to allocate more memory for it than
the documentation indicates and you will likely want to turn
down the logging which can be a bit verbose in the default
configuration.  That may depend how many queries you get and
how often you need to troubleshoot problems.  If you're fussy
you might also update the list of root servers; a couple have
changed since the latest version of djbdns was released.

I'd not go back to bind/named.  No way, no how, no thank you.
