Disabling usb drivers at runtime?

Hello,

I'm wondering if it is possible to unload an already loaded usb driver 
(i.e. the ftdi2232) and instead load a user-land driver
(i.e. the jtag driver for the above) ?

I just did hack the running kernel and changed the vendor id in the 
driver, which is rather inconvenient and dangerous......

Is there an ioctl or some other means that would allow me to do this?
