I'm not sure if my Thinkpad X220 is eligible but so far it seems like
the linked kernel has fixed two problems;

 1. X11 get progressively slower after a few days of the system running
2. occasional graphical glitches on the screen in X11, blank/random pixels or non-updating areas

Both of these problems seems to be completely gone. Hooray!

N.B. I run xcompmgr and AccelMethod in Xorg is set to SNA.
