You are trolling but let me try to give you an honest answer.

There is software that has a lot of options and that chose to have
these options specified on the command line. qemu is a good example --
qemu command lines are passed around like arcane knowledge, writing
one from scratch is pretty hard. Now imagine some enterprise binary
with many more such options.

The other, more concrete problem is the length of linker command
lines, specifically in Rust builds: you need to name all individual
object files in one command. If you specify the full path to each, and
the paths are long enough,  you have reached 256k easily.
