Try removing the unwanted `wsbellN' from the mux it is connected to
using `wsmuxctl -f N -r wsbellN'. (Where N is a number.)

It's what I do to disable the touchpad on my laptop: first remove it
(`wsmouse0') from the mux, then "disable" it using `drvctl -d'.
