root fs often not clean

Hi!

A couple of months ago I removed the log option from my root file
system.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that after more than half of my
reboots, there is a root file system check.

While that's probably good for file system consistency, it seems to
point to some problem in the shutdown code.

Is anyone else seeing this?
