Any ideas what could be the problem?

See PR/40491. I don't think that the mutex there is correct. It seems
that in other places the nfs_reqq is protected with splsoftnet().

The PR is for netbsd-5 and is some years old. Do it make sense to create a new bug report for netbsd-7?
