NetBSD 6.0 fails to boot on large server

I tried to boot 6.0 (could not find the -current ISO) on one of the
larger servers that I have access to...

It didn't go very well.

Once the boot loader started to happen, the updates through the ILO
screen were very slow...

The last message about "cpu0 at mainbus0 apid 0" has been there for ~10
minutes

The "total memory" is out by around 522405MB.

The CPUs are E8870s, is there a better ISO to boot than the i386 one?
(I couldn't see an x64 one.)
