mplayer related crash not reproducible with 6.0 BETA2

I went through the list of PRs resolved/changes of 6.0 BETA2, though
didn't fin specific mention of this.

However, on upgrading to BETA 2 I immediately tried the issue that would
freeze the system on using 'skip forward' functionality of mplayer. This
was easily reproducible before, though can't reproduce it now.

Can others who faced this confirm?
