Re: BCM57781 is not supported

Hello,

I've recently upgraded to Asrock X79 Extreme4-M platform. NetBSD (6
BETA) booted surprisingly well, however, the biggest problem was
unsupported NIC. Asrock uses Broadcom BCM57781 network chip in their
motherboards recently. NetBSD configures bge0 device but there is the
line that ASIC is unknown (bge0: ASIC unknown BCM57765 (0x57785100))
and network just doesn't work (DHCP doesn't assign any IP address,
manual configuration doesn't help too). I checked that FreeBSD already
supports device as BCM57765 B0. Would it be difficult to add support
for it? Should I file bug report for this? Thank you.

Can you post the dmesg? And if you've booted FreeBSD, the dmesg from there as well?

Thanks,
