port-amd64 INSTALL kernel fails to boot in qemu

I haven't the time to look into this any further, but ever since the tprof_amdpmi module was successfully committed (at approximately 02:30 GMT), an amd64 INSTALL kernel fails to boot under qemu. It gets as far as

  WARNING: couldn't open ffs (//ffs/ffs.kmod)
WARNING: 1 module failed to load

  NetBSD 5.99.45 (INSTALL) #0: Sun Feb 6 01:33:56 PST 2011

root%lightning.whooppee.com@localhost:/test-bed/obj/sys/arch/amd64/compile/INSTALL
  total memory = 32368 KB
  avail memory = 13964 KB

and then just hangs.
