I didn't find anything obvious that could have introduced this regression. 
But the PAE code was merged and some changes were made to PCI code as well. 
Now that the time frame is still small enough, you could consider "cherry
picking" or "single stepping" the changes to locate the actual regression.

Nothing in ACPI has changed that could have caused this.
