Building pkgsrc/x11/gnome-panel fails (pkgsrc-2009Q4)

Building pkgsrc/x11/gnome-panel fails for me on pkgsrc-2009Q4.
This is what happens:

gmake[5]: Entering directory

However, in the buildlink directory,
/scratch/chroot/pkg_comp.amd64-5.0/default/pkg_comp/obj/pkgsrc/x11/gnome-panel/default/.buildlink/include/gnome-desktop-2.0/libgnome,
gnome-desktop-utils.h is present:

lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel   65 Jan 27 23:00 gnome-desktop-utils.h@ -> 
/usr/pkg/include/gnome-desktop-2.0/libgnome/gnome-desktop-utils.h

and the file it points to is there.
