I believe that. I also had trouble free four or five years. Maybe
I have just picked bad hardware two times in a row, even if the
probability to do that is really low. I can't remember if I have
ever had a problem this persistent and costing so much money to
solve..
Maybe I start the third round by changing the cables again and then
finding yet another pair of disks to try with...
