Partially. LFS has been updated for 5.0 but it has bugs. The underlying
issue is not so much that BSD-LFS is unmaintained, but that the codebase
has intractable problems.
Looking at the bigger picture, the NetBSD project would be better served by
euthanizing LFS and bringing in a similar technology with a known working
and maintained implementation, such as ZFS or HAMMER.
