That actually makes more sense -- with ACPI enabled, they're probably
passed to the OS for the software to handle.
Steven is right. To make matters worse, ACPI doesn't specify how these
hotkeys should be reported to the OS, so each vendor does it
differently. What type of laptop are you using?
