Hi there, I'm trying to use nmap in SYN and UDP scanmodes in NetBSD-5 but it won't work. TCP scans as user work very well, as root everything fails. :( I'll try to update my kernel and userland to HEAD of netbsd-5, but maybe somebody knows how to fix this issue. best regards, Frederic Jaeckel Output: # uname -a NetBSD xanti.home.jc-ix.net 5.0_BETA NetBSD 5.0_BETA (GENERIC_XANTI) #0: Wed Nov 19 01:07:36 CET 2008 jchome%jeveran.jc-ix.net@localhost:/home/jchome/netbsd-current/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/obj/GENERIC_XANTI i386 # nmap -sS 192.168.0.1 -v Starting Nmap 4.65 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2009-01-24 02:10 CET WARNING: Unable to find appropriate interface for system route to 192.168.0.1 WARNING: Unable to find appropriate interface for system route to 127.0.0.1 WARNING: Unable to find appropriate interface for system route to 127.0.0.1 WARNING: Unable to find appropriate interface for system route to 127.0.0.1 Target* nexthost(HostGroupState*, TargetGroup*, scan_lists*, int): failed to determine route to 192.168.0.1 QUITTING!
