Sysinst failure setting up root account on -current

When I try to install -current/i386 (as of 2009.,
at the end of the installation process when sysinst is setting up the
root account, it reports:

  Status: Running
  Command: chpass -s /bin/sh root
chpass: /etc/master.passwd: entry root inconsistent expire
  chpass: /etc/master.passwd: unchanged
  Command failed
  Hit enter to continue

Looks like fallout from the time_t changes...
