Yes, the messages say that you don't have your firmware file in the
correct place. You do have the firmware installed? The location has
changed due to the firmware being imported into the official tree
instead of pkgsrc.
What's the correct place for firmware now? /usr/libdata/firmware/ ?
I manually placed mine in:
# ls /libdata/firmware/if_iwn
LICENSE.iwlwifi-4965-ucode iwlwifi-4965.ucode
README.iwlwifi-4965-ucode iwlwifi-4965.ucode.new

I got errors about missing firmware having my firmware that directory...
Downgrading to v1.24 made my iwn work again.
But 5.0_BETA has still v1.22 which we know did not work. Could you please upgrade it?

I will check this out later - I thought I saw an update for if_iwn.c
go through on the NetBSD_5 branch
Thanks

Marcin
