panic during boot-time

On a Dell Dimension 8400, I'm getting an NMI panic during autoconf,
right after it prints

        ahcisata0 port 0: device present, speed: 1.5Gb/s

The next few lines (on an Aug 12 kernel) are

        ahcisata0 port 2: device present, speed: 1.5Gb/s
        ahcisata0 port 1: PHY offline
        ahcisata0 port 3: PHY offline

This is with a kernel built from up-to-date source. Booting a week-old
kernel that works on a very similar machine fails, too. The only
difference in kernel config files is that the failing one has a ugen
line for its UPS. Here's the kernel config:

        include "arch/i386/conf/GENERIC"

        options IPSEC
        options IPSEC_ESP
        pseudo-device swwdog

piixpcib* at pci? dev ? function ?
SpeedStep ichlpcib* at pci? dev ? function ?

        options SHMMAXPGS=32768

ugen* at uhub? port ? vendor "0x051d" flags 1

As you see, it's i386.
