Is the metapackage there
- to test building qt6 (but not everythign that depends on it)?
- for people building source code (not in pkgsrc) that wants qt6?
- convenience for people maintaining qt6 in pkgsrc?
- some oether reason?

Sounds good. I wonder if the repo it is using will have changes pushed
upstream so we can get back on the regular path, or if I'm misreading.

I have just succeeded in the configure stage of qgis 3.99, disabling
webengine use for now, and am building. This is going better than I
expected it would -- thanks to you and others for all the qt6 work so
far.
I will have to figure out the right pkgsrc dependencies; right now I'm
just installing packages as cmake objects, and build dep vs run dep
might be tricky. But that's not about the state of our qt6 support.
