As announced before, we are now in "careful mode". Please ask for approval before making changes to packages with lots of dependencies (see above), as well as for any pkgsrc infrastructure changes (mk/, devel/cmake/build.mk, etc.)

Thank you for your cooperation.

It'd also be appreciated if folks could take a look over the daily bulk builds that I send. Please don't dismiss the reports as "oh it must be a problem with Some OS I Don't Have", many of the failures are general problems that apply to all systems.

For example lang/pear has been broken for months, is the top breakage, and is currently trying to access the network during the install phase, which is clearly broken and not at all specific to illumos. This is a
regression since the last update.

There are also many other generic failures, e.g. PKGMANDIR, incorrect dependencies (hardcoded editline vs mk/readline), DEPMETHOD=build, etc,
none of which require access to an illumos system.

Fixing these issues increases the robustness of pkgsrc for everyone.

Thanks,
