If you want libjpeg-turbo on your ryzen desktop to run chromium
that's fine
The idea was mine, but not because of chromium. Chromium is happy with the bundled libjpeg-turbo.
The idea was born when I noticed that webkit-gtk doesn't ship bundled libjpeg-turbo and it is not a problem
on other OSes, because all use libjpeg-turbo as default, at least the ones I checked.
