No, I meant something pkgsrc provides that can be used when R2pkg is
built.
$ make show-vars VARNAMES=MAKE
shows /usr/bin/make on netbsd and /usr/pkg/bin/gmake on OS X.
So presumably some SUBST of @MAKE@=${MAKE} in the R2pkg build should
work.
