I had success upgrading to these as well. The only problem is with glut - I get:

..............
===> Building for glut-7.0.3rc2
cd /usr/pkgsrc/wip/glut/work/Mesa-7.0.3-rc2 && /bin/rm -fr src/mesa
src/glu src/gl
w progs
(cd configs && rm -f current && ln -s pkgsrc current)
/usr/pkg/bin/gmake default

.................

I've also backed out Yorick Hardy's patch set and upgraded to the
committed changes (by tnn@, I don't seem to be able to find the log
right now). It seems to work just fine (or at least as well as
before).

While here, I upgraded to modular-xorg-1.4 + xf86-video-intel-2.2.1;
the whole combo finally seems to be OK. This all is on 945; i386
4.99.55 from a couple of hours ago.
