kth-krb4 provides:
include/kerberosIV/com_err.h
lib/libcom_err.la and related
lib/libss.la and related
include/kerberosIV/ss/ss.h
and mit-krb provides:
include/com_err.h
lib/libcom_err.la and related
and heimdal provides:
include/krb5/com_err.h
lib/libcom_err.la and related
include/krb5/ss/ss.h
lib/libss.la and related
I want to update pkgsrc's e2fsprogs. It also provides:
lib/libcom_err.*
include/et/com_err.h
man/man3/com_err.3
include/ss/ss.h
include/ss/ss_err.h
lib/libss.*
lib/pkgconfig/ss.pc
share/ss/ct_c.awk
share/ss/ct_c.sed
Should I force e2fsprogs to install its libcom_err and/or libss under a
subdirectory (like lib/ext2fs/libcom_err.*)?
Or should I rename the library?
Or should I make a new package for libcom_err and/or libss that others can
use?
I do not want to conflict with a kerberos.
Also, I'd like to split out libuuid. It is used by
wip/postgresql-uniqueidentifier and wip/cinelerra and many other programs
use a libuuid (but maybe their own). I originally needed libuuid for
packaging xfsprogs.
Any comments on this?
