} Why do we have two copies of the file that even _can_ get out of date?
} Actually, three:
}
} src/etc/namedb/bind.keys
This is installed and used by the default named.conf.
} src/external/mpl/bind/dist/bind.keys
This one comes with BIND, but isn't installed anywhere by
default.
} src/external/mpl/bind/include/bind.keys.h
This one is derived from the above the during the documented
import process. It is compiled into BIND to be used as a default
if bind.keys doesn't exist.
} Can we just have one copy, the one under dist/, derive the others at
} build-time from it, and delete the extra maintenance burden now listed
} in doc/3RDPARTY? The approach we have now seems like asking for
} trouble every time.
The one in src/etc/namedb should really just be replaced by
a reference to the one in src/external/mpl/bind/dist. I expect
that somebody will do that eventually. I was just going for
something fast for pullups to not holdup 11.1. There is still work
to be done in postinstall to fix updates.
