Yes, and as long as the details are not analyzed this might be caused
by a lots of various bugs potentially everywhere.

Is there a way to reproduce this problem?
I use a sparc64 machine as X desktop everyday and run lots of apps on amd64
or i386 machines using the sparc as display.
