Exactly, and the situation on NetBSD is similar. Most apps work, but
a lot of pkgs are developed on i386/amd64 and new versions sometimes
grow new bugs that are never noticed untill someone runs them on alignement
critical archs.

It's not X that's broken (well, currently it is in -current, but not in
general) - but single apps.
