yeah, but the wire protocol is full of crap that's in host byte order,
has been remains so and does not get fixed, while X11R5 and somewhat
later worked perfectly in this regard.
I suspect osol supports only a measly subset of cards on sparc, and
with binary blob modules (in spite of Sun's calling the project
``Fully-Open X''). yeah great that it works at all, for local
clients, but the thing is, when non-x86 is involved is precisely when
you are likely to have ssh-forwarded clients, which don't always work.
