Polymer Sparc cases. Was "Re (2): Removing the video card from the ss 10."

My best guess is polycarbonate.

It can not be solvent welded.  Brittleness can result from 
depolymerization.  When long chains are broken, there is no simple 
means of re-polymerizing.

Poly(methyl methacrylate) has good long term stability and solvent 
welds very successfully.

I've used dichloromethane to solvent weld acrylic.

Work in a fume hood or outdoors.
