Indeed, it is a strange plastic. It was once flexible and is no longer.. inside it looks brittle now, but it was strong. For sure softener evaporated/migrated.
Many small parts break off my cases and since it happens on many, I guess it is a standard degeneration.
I did use polymeric contact adhesive (tradename/manufacturer whatever it is called in your country) which will never work on edge (in contrast to Epoxy or Cyanoacrylate) and used the RF metal sheet as bonder. Quicky, dirty, but at least it stays together on the SS10. At least I can pile up things again. In any case I don't see a "good loking" way that can also be decently strong.
For the U2 instead I need to bond the edge and didn't do that yet. Riccardo
