(b) and (c), I would say. I don't think (d) will actually help any.
It will change which partition is used as the boot partition, but I
don't think it will change anything else in the problem at hand.
For (c), that's assuming "the standard generic MP kernel" contains
RAIDframe. I _think_ it does, but it's been a very long time since I
used a stock kernel for anything but initial installation, so I'm
hardly sure.
